Growing Fast!

Hi Everyone! Well apparently it has been a little over a month since I've posted a blog! We've certainly been busy! Josephine adds more tricks to her repertoire all the time! Josephine took her first plane ride. She was a little fussy at times on the plane but everyone was so kind to us. Daddy took a picture of us at the airport in Lubbock before we left. We went to visit my sister, Elizabeth, in Georgia. She had her second child, Jack, a few weeks ago. While we were in Georgia Josephine started rolling over from her back to her tummy! Now she can roll both ways and has a good time rolling around the living room! Daddy has been teaching Josephine to walk too! I was able to get some video of it so I will try to post it soon!

This was written on August 16th and I never got around to posting it so I thought I would leave it in this post:

Josephine was 4 months old this past Saturday (Aug 15)! I think I say this everytime I write a new post but I can't believe how fast time goes by! I was able to get some video of her "talking" and playing with her cute little feet! I took Josephine to the pediatrician yesterday for her 4 month check-up and more shots:( She only had to get two shots this time and an oral vaccine. She weighed 13 lbs 13oz and was 25 1/2 inches! She was 90th percentile again for height but only 65th percentile for weight but our doctor wasn't concerned. I guess she's too busy learning and playing to eat! Josephine will be taking her first plane ride this weekend! We are going to visit my sister and meet Josephine's new cousin, Jack!

Rolling Over

I was finally able to get a video of Josephine rolling over! She's also able to lay on her tummy and lift her head and chest off the ground! It's hard to capture that on video when I'm alone so I'll have to get Josh to help me. I took Josephine to a breastfeeding store here in Lubbock where they have a scale. I was surprised to see she's now tipping the scales at 13 lbs 10 oz!!! She was wearing a diaper and a onesie though so I guess those would account for a few ounces at least! Joshua, Josephine, and I went to visit his Aunt and Uncle in Oklahoma last week and we also attended the wedding of one of his college buddies. Unfortunately I think Josephine was having some teething discomfort so she was a less than pleasant companion at times:) But a little Tylenol and Orajel go a long way! I know, I know, she's too young to be teething! But it looks like she has some nubs on her bottom gums and she drools and chews her hands non-stop! Below are a few pictures from our trip.
