Josephine is just growing up right before our eyes. She has started to develop some vocabulary. Some of her favorite words: dada, mama, baby, oscar, ba-ba (barney), all done, more, grandpa, nana, jack, bella, hi. I'm doing an alphabet/numbers theme in the girls' bathroom (pics soon) so we're working on some basic letters and numbers. She is still far more interested in all things that require doing. She is jumping with two feet, tumbling pretty well on her own, jumping off anything she can. She is really an adrenaline junky:) I'm signing her up for a gymnastics class that starts in a few weeks. We found a great place here in town that offers classes. Two days a week they have an hour long open play for kids 1-5 years. we went this morning and Josephine had a great time. There was a small ball pit, little balance beams, climbing gyms, a trampoline. She was in heaven! She jumped into that ball pit face first, head first, backwards...she's a nut! On a more boring note, she's wearing size 24 mos/2T, weighs about 28 pounds, and I think she's about 32 inches (I'm guessing).
Lillian is just so sweet. She is a very pleasant baby. What I love is how much easier everything seems to be this time around. I thought I was relaxed with Josephine but in hindsight I can see I felt more stressed out than I do now. I guess that's to be expected. Everything is so new with the first one. So what is Lillian up to these days? She is doing really well sleeping on her own at naps. She generally takes about 3 naps a day. Nothing really scheduled yet but most of the time 2 of her naps are in the pack'n play which has been great! She is still sleeping with us at night but I've been thinking about putting her down in the pack'n play (which is in our enormous downstairs guest bathroom) and then maybe bringing her in with us when she wakes up. I'm just not sure yet....I so love snuggling with her. She loves to play in the jumper or lay on her playmat and grab at the toys dangling from above. She jabbers so much! She really likes to talk to us. She is soooo ticklish....I never thought a 4 month old could laugh but she has the most precious little chuckle. She likes to look at books and eat them:) She is rolling from tummy to back and pretty close to rolling from back to tummy. I swear if the girl coud balance she would be sitting on her own. She tries SOOOOOO hard to sit up! She is practically a V with her back and legs off the ground! Her hair still has a slightly red tint to it but still looks mostly brown. Eyes as blue as can be! We will be going in (late) for her 4 month checkup soon but I'm guesstimating she weighs about 13-14 pounds. She is wearing size 3-6 months now. She is still nursing exclusively and will probably wait until 6 months or so to start solids.
