Christmas 2011

Our Christmas this year was perfect. The girls were both up by 7:15 so we went downstairs to see what Santa had brought us. Lillian found a new CD and was mesmerized:) She literally took it, sat on the bottom stair, and tried to open it. Josephine had so much fun opening presents and trying out her new toys. We tried not to go overboard...I think we did alright. They each got a puzzle and a book from us. The rest of the gifts were mainly imaginary play toys. They got a doctor kit, a hairstylist costume, the Melissa and Doug Cookie Baking set, some play food for their kitchen. Lastly, they got a bouncy house which has already been well worth the money! They both love to jump in it and we have it laid out in the basement so it's easy to go down and turn it on for them to have a quick jump.
After presents we had breakfast and just relaxed most of the day. (We had gone to church on Christmas Eve) We had Christmas dinner with some friends of ours who don't have any family nearby. Some other friends dropped by later in the evening and we had a great evening just socializing.
2011 was a year of full of big changes for our family! We are so thankful for the many blessings our Heavenly Father has granted us. Our family is healthy, happy, and blessed to have all of you as part of our lives. Thank you for loving us!
Seeing the tree and presents Christmas morning.

Checking to see what Santa put in their stockings.

Josephine baking cookies with her Melissa and Doug Cookie Set
Her hairstylist smock. The set came with a blow dryer that (barely) blows air.
It also came with a mirror, comb, and pretend scissors.
Daddy and I are getting treated to lots of new hair dos!
Working on one of her new puzzles. It is a set of 4 puzzles. They are 12 pieces so she needs a little help.
She got a puppy purse in her stocking.
We've been receiving wonderful medical attention now that she has the proper equipment.
Despite all the new toys Lillian likes to go for the oldie but goodies. She loves this ball popper that Josephine received as a gift for her first birthday.

Below are 2 videos of the girls playing in the bouncy house. They are really enjoying it!

After watching the videos David's been asking over and over if he can go to your house and play with Josephine in the bounce house! He also wants to tell her that she should slide on her bottom :)

Enjoyed both of your posts. The house looks great and Christmas looked fun! Wish we lived closer.
